Early one morning DH received a phone call from Owen telling him of a dream he just had. In the dream Kelly Slater came to him and said ‘you need to surf shorter boards’.
With that, DH set about designing a board that is 3 to 4 inches shorter than Owen’s boards at the time. It’s a little bit of DNA, a tad of DX1 and for a little spice, the Wilko F13. The result is the Dreamweaver. Owen surfed this board at the Tokyo Olympics to proudly claim a bronze medal, the bronze logo’s are our tribute.
The secret to the Dreamweaver is the wider nose outline, but not too thick up front. The nose allows you to fly through flat sections and whip it quickly into the next turn. The round tail and straighter plane shape gives you maximum speed control, the flat deck into medium rail allows us to get the required volume into the board.
Owen’s dimensions - 6’0 x 19 x 2 3/8 - 29L.
